Hi guys. i read in the sd card forum that it is not good to format thet sd card with windows. but is it the same story with the d2 internal memory?
and one more question..is it ok to just erase files and folders from the sd card manually..i mean without formatting? i guess that there is'nt any other way but just want to be sure. thx! |

formatting with Windows is a no no indeed. you can use the Panasonic App. as mentioned in the Thread you probably may have looked at or you can actually format with either the d2n.bin within Folder 0 from Firmware 2.59 or 3.59
you can still though just delete Files Manually. Formatting really isn't a option for ANY Flash based Player.

by the way..if i may ask, what is the difference between deleting files manually and formatting? why formatting is not good for the memory but deleting files manually is ok? this is the same software, isn't it? |
