PNG Album Art Viewer

Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but would it be possible for anyone to make a .png album art viewer for the music screen? I'm wondering because my music library is way too big for me to put all the album covers on manually, and I'm using mozilla songbird to sync my files at the moment (defo recommend you try it guys) but the album covers it automatically recovers and embeds are all in the png file format.

My "coverflow" kind of music browser seemed to display .png art, I just had to rename a png file as cover.jpg. However it only supports external image files, not embedded art. If cowon's firmware doesn't support embedded png's, I don't think there's much we can do about that.
