This's my first question on I5.

Just got I5 a few days ago and while I am happy with this baby, I have encountered some issues.

When I scrolled quickly (i.e. fwd or rew and hold) to change the BBE setting or any setting in Jeteffect, or change the volume quickly (by pushing the +/- and hold the scroll button), I hear popping sounds. It's only when I stopped changing the settings then I will not hear any. Is this normal or did I get a defective unit? I'm using PX200 and my MP3s are encoded at 128 - 192.

I've found no other similar threads in this forum. Thanks for answering!
Thanks!

That's typical for the i5 and if you look around here enough you probably will find other posts about it. It doesn't bother me as much as hearing those same popping sounds when listening to the radio (which I've found on two different players).

Yes, I realised that there are a few here who have encountered this problem while listening to the radio or such, but I think there is none that has the same problem as mine - i.e. when adjusting the BBE settings. So thought of asking. Thanks for answering.

I got I5 a few days ago and I haven't your problem, estpl6!
When changing the volume quickly, yes (especially from 29 to 30/40), but when changing BBE setting, no...

Sorry!

Hey, you're all right! when adjusting BBE setting quickly, I have the same issue : popping sounds! In fact, I always change BBE setting from 1 to 1 and never quickly, so I hadn't notice before...
Not very important indeed...

(If you think I must be very young to write so bad in english, you're wrong : I'm french... lol!)

Hey Moonake, I don't think you have written in bad English!

Okay, I guess this is just a small issue. Afterall, I;m contented to just know that i;m ot the only one who has this problem. Thanks!
