BBC iplayer on cowon q5

I noticed this post on playing BBC iplayer downloads on the S9 using MTP to transfer the files. I've tested it on the q5w (firmware 1.51: utility, systems, USB connection) and it works. If you live in the UK you can watch the iPlayer content!
The only problem is that when watching the video in full screen mode the touch scrren seems locked, you need to use the remote control to pause or stop the video.
Any other solutions to the touch screen issue would be welcomed.
