I saw this http://www.pixmania.co.uk/uk/uk/6247...-t-module.html
and although it says it is for the A3 do you think it could work on the A2 or do you think extra hardware or software is required. I really hope this can work on the A2 as that is one think i really would like to have.

Maybe it is the same as the one you can get in korea but it just hasn't officially been released for the A2 here... surely it shouldn't be any different if it does exactly the same thing? the a3 is just an upgraded a2...

This one though should work in the UK as it uses dvb-T as opposed to DMB like in korea and a dvb-t module was never released in for the A2.
I think i am right in saying all of this.

So who's going to get one and try it in the A2? Just return it if it doesn't work...

I'm almost positive it'd be able to work with the A2, because they connect the same way to the TV, they'd connect the same way to this.

Does it connect to the video-in slot then?

Looks fascinating.
If it is DVB-T, and if it does plug into the A2, I wonder if the installed DMB software would be able to work with it. The Pixmania page does not say who the manufacturer is, so we can't ask them. One thing, if you zoom in on the picture, the DMB logo can be seen on the device, rather than DVB-T. But maybe they just use a generic photograph |

The main reason why i thought it may not work would be because of firmware restrictions not because of the way it is connected.

Any news?
I guess this won't work on the A2 for at least one reason. DVB-T uses MPEG-2 for the video stream and the A2 doesn't decode that (except for an experimental period in one of the earlier firmwares?) |
