Default Plastic Case Clear for COWON D2

Does the Plastic Case Clear for COWON D2 protect the entire D2 including the screen, just like how the plastic clear case for the U3 protects the entire U3?

This is the case I am talking about:
http://www.jetmall.net/index.asp?Pag...ROD&ProdID=325

I am really seriously thinking about getting a D2 or the upcoming Iaudio 7...I just don't know which to get...any suggestions?

Thank You All.

Okay what would you suggest I get...a D2 or the upcoming Iaudio 7?

It has to be a Cowon player because sound quality comes first above everything else & I know cowon delivers on good sound although Iriver does make some nice players non that I know of supports FLAC.

Also how would you compare Cowon Vs. Iriver in the sound quality department?

yea iriver and Cowon are pretty even in terms of sound quality. But from my research, it seems that BBE enhancements are more advanced than iriver's common SRS WOW effects. And of course there's Cowon famous FLAC support which kicks up the sound quality that much more.

But if a Clix2 and a D2 were compared with no sound enhancers, they'd be pretty even.

I have noticed that FLAC (1.1.3) playback slows down D2 a lot. Hitting the touchsceen, messing around the GUI becomes laggy. I guess FLAC playback demands more CPU power than playing MP3 / OGG.

I converted my audio CDs to Ogg Vorbis with q6 setting (192 Kbit VBR). My question is: What equipment do i need to notice a tremendous kick up in sound quality when playing FLACs compared to q6 OGG? 1.500 $ inears with cables out of pure gold? Really, I can't hear that much of a difference (that is none). Unfortunately my AKG K 240 DFs plug broke and I soldered a 6.3 mm plug onto it's cable. That one doesn't fit into D2 anymore.

well goin back to the clear case idea...

can anyone tell me if the case has any strange lines in places where they look bad... i think i can see 'em on online pictures, and they look like those lines that plastic gets when it comes out of a mold.

i think i especially see them in the bottom two corners of the border around the screen.

picture support will be great

The term you're talking about is "flash", and my case has none. I don't have any pictures to hand, but have you looked at mcramen's photos from when he was privately importing them early this year?
