This battery life is awesome

I have been writing down my play times and over last 6 days have played a total of 35 hours of music with around 2 power on and offs per day, and numerous changing of music and have 2 bars still on. Im sure it will drop off soon, this is using internal memory by the way, its a pretty awesome little machine.

You read 50 hours playback, and we know it will be 40 in reality but it talk is cheap but this is some serious playtime in normal circumstances.

Cowon you are exceptional.

EDIT The battery is flashing after 40.5 hours and as above this is a real time test, mp3s at 192-320 kbps and numerous changing of music plus 11 power on and offs. AWESOME Edit 2 Volume at around 20

Yes, the battery life is very good!

I have a question for you though; did the bars go down to two quickly for you? Mine jumped down to two bars after, hmm... about 3-5 hours of playing music.

Not mine. Mine sticks with 4 bars for just about the first 8 hours. Then, 3 bars last for about the same amount of time. 2 bars seem to last longer, but I haven't let it run out of batteries, so that's alll I know.

No not so quickly, took 4 days and 20 some hours of music, are you talking playing from the sd card or internally?, cause using an sd card mine done same as yours! The sd card i got 25 hours full to flashing.

It also depends on the headphones and type/bitrate of the music you are using. I usually use Koss KSC75 headphones with volume 8-10 and the battery life is very good, but when I use my Sennheiser HD580 I need to turn the volume to 11-14 and the battery goes down quicker. They say the tested time was done at 128kbs and I am using 192kbs.

lol sucks if i use the volume up from 15-25 O_o i use those sony sport ones the ones with the good review i forget the type but they dont go over your head but in the back and they fold the sound is really good on them and with cowon its a great combo, though ya the volume is a bit high maybe its cause ifi drive with open window i have to turn it up but like normal conditions its prob on the 15 lvl? though it also depends on the mp3 and how its recorded...

That's funny, because I've been using my beyer DT770s straight out of the D2. They are hard to drive (80 Ohm), and I usually have the volume maxed all the way out at 50. These cans can still be quiet on certain songs at this volume level.

I'm getting a portable headphone amp for them soon, so that I'll have the levels I want.

Anyway, I still seem to be getting very impressive battery life despite this.

, i was mowing the lawn today and with crappy phillips headphones the vol was at 30 and it was loud

ps let me know re headphone amp as i need one for my archos 504

I'm playing the music internally, and most of the music is in MP3 192 kbs. Also, I'm using the headphones that was included with the D2.

Anyway, it's fully charged now and next week I'm going to take time and see if it happens again. 3-5 hours could also be too little, I really didn't take time and time flies by when you're listening to music, so it could be more...
