Hi!
I am looking for an I5 in Europe. It doesn't seem to be available in Austria yet, in Germany it's 249 EUR (1 GB Version). Is there any place in the EU where it's cheaper and coming close to the 199 USD it is sold in the USA? Does anybody know if it will be available everywhere soon (mid-March or end of March maybe)? TIA Bernhard |

You Europeans have to pay so much for Iaudio. I paid $189 for a 1 gb I5 which is only 143 EUR

A bit o/t. However its about ppl want to buy iAUDIO for US prices in Europe.
Has anyone here from europe ordered from suntecint? Im curies about the VAT and duty. I live in Sweden and VAT is 25% and duty is 3.5%. However Stephanie (owner of suntecint) claims that it's shipped with an invoice that claims it to be a electronic part of the value $19. Im not certain however it will pass customs problem free. This would mean that it would be duty-free. So has anyone from Europe dealt with suntecint? |

Mine came through okay but there will always be the risk. Think about the big picture and how many items are imported into the country. I don't think customs are able to check every single item.

Value added tax blows, 25%? That's insane.

Some hints about Norwegian import regulations that may be of interest to any compatriots contemplating ordering an iAudio from abroad:
Duty free limit is NKR 200. However, gifts have a duty free limit of NKR 1000, and (according to the local customs office) the customs consider any goods NOT accompanied by an invoice to be a gift (Value has still to be specified on the import/export sticker, of course) Works with goods ordered from Amazon marked as gifts, and presumably from Suntec as well. 1 USD = 6.2 NKR, Norwegian VAT is also 25 % + 20 USD customs fee, so there's definitely a saving to be made |

I had an email from Suntec yesterday that states that they are no longer able to ship outside of the US, Canada and South America.
An extract is as follows........'If you want to buy, please buy now. After tonight, we won't sell to EU customers.'... dated 2nd March 2005. If you are in the UK it might be worth checking our www.pciho.com and entering iaudiophile for the coupon code in the shopping cart as you will get a discount.
