when i unplug the j3, i still get the same hiss, so it may be in my aux cable. or maybe even my stereo..but the cars only a few months old, so i dont know..

on to the low gain...I am playing it...

it was fine before i formatted it. Certain eq settings will bring it louder but i am comparing it with how "normal" sounded before i formatted it.

Actually I just updated to 2.29 from the default...

songs gone and j3 folder brings up multiple empty subfolders.. out of nowhere

I turn the j3 on. .. i click on the [j3] folder. then the next screen lists about 7 [j3 EXT's] then you clicmk on one of them and a new list of 10 [j3]'s appear.. Seems everything is gone....

Is it possible to turn off dim feature.

i have the screen turn off after 30 seconds. but after 15 seconds or so, the screen turns dim. I wouldnt mind that, but in order to select something on the screen, I have to press the screen once...

Ah, I was transferring the files while the card...

Ah, I was transferring the files while the card was in the j3. I was able to put many files on it that way..but i guess its reached a limit. I guess i should just use the reader then?

I put maybe 2,000 or so files on the 64gb microcard so far.... and when i try to add any more files it says 'cannot remove or rename folder.... parameter is incorrect... or something like that....
