Hey there
A bit of my story, if someone is interested...
Well I have been surrounded by music since I was born. My mother, as a piano player she is (very good one, and not because she is my mother

), taught me how to play piano at the age of 3, and I have been playing it till this year. Sad I couldn't continue due to university studies.
I have a nice ear for music, and what I think most important of all is I have learned to understand it. As a piano player I like to listen to classical. However now I listen mostly to all types of Metal. Heavy, Death, Melodic, Technical, ... I am open to other types of music as long as they are good, technically speaking. Pop music, is something I really got to dislike. That doesn't mean if I find one or two songs that are good I won't listen to them
Before finding the Cowon D2 I was an owner of a sony cassette player, later my first mp3 player, the Creative Zen Nx 30Gb (from 2001 if I am not wrong), and during my puberty

I bought an ipod shuffle first gen. I feel a bit sad to know how many music I could have heard with my little young ears if I had made research about mp3 players, earphones and everything related to music. Well there was also the downside of budget, but that is why we had Christmas and birthdays
I don't consider myself an audiophile, at least for now. However, every day i am reading more about it, trying to understand it and always looking to maximize the real joy of listening to music. If that is the definition of an audiophile, then I guess sooner or later i will "become one". That is not my goal though.
I have been saving some money, and will keep on doing so till the day I feel spending what necessary to get the best of music. I hope being part of this community I can really get closer to getting the best for my ears and myself.
Will gladly help in what I can and ask for the help I need, when needed
Enjoy your music
See you around
