I have not used one but to the best of my knowledge they are just PNP with everything controlled by the Bridge Box which has all its own software and just treats both connected devices as standard USD devices\flash drives and controls all the copying\moving of files between them.

    Hi Madman,
I read your response in the D2 forum about connecting a digital camera to the D2 with an OTC Bridge Box. Could you explain a little more about how these work? Do they need drivers, or are they pure PnP?

I have a canon that I'm trying to connect to my Q5W (mini-USB in the canon connected to the Q5 host port), but the Q5W's asking for a driver. Of course, canon doesn't make one for CE.

I'm unclear: Will the same "need driver" message pop up when the Q5W's connected to the USB Bridge Box, or is that the whole point -- that it doesn't need drivers?

THANKS for any light you can shed.

    Regards,
    Tryin2Learn
