The USB works fine, and the light on the adapter is on when it's not connected to the x5, but the light goes off when it is, and the x5 shows no sign of charging or any power supply connected to it. I ordered mine from newegg.com. If it isn't fixable, will I able to get it fixed or get a new one?...I don't want to lose $350...[sad]
Does it charge with the AC adapter?

No, it doesn't charge at all. It doesn't even show on the player that it is charging...nothing happens when I connect it, except the light on the adapter goes off.

If you have the player turned on when you connect the subpack & AC adapter to the x5, you won't see the charging screen; the only indication that you're receiving external power would be the LED on the top of the device turning red for charging and green for battery full.

yea, but it doesn't do that. Maybe I should just send it and see if they can fix it?
