I put the CD in to install the software and all I can find on the CD is a couple of autorun files totaling 366kb in size!
The useful item on the cd is jetaudio right?
So I'm downloading the VX version, and I have a serial number that came with the CD so will I be able to register this version I'm downloading?

I would think so, they give the serial number for a reason, so let's hope you can register the down loaded copy.
From what I have read, the jet audio software stinks. I haven't even bothered installing it.

That's debatable, I pretty much never use it. I only used it to see what it does. There's pretty much nothing it does that isn't done better by other software.
I could be in the minority, but I have had good results using it. It does what it needs to and has become my primary media player and encoder. I like playing from a file while I encode from a cd, but besides that, it just does what it needs to. Not saying it's any better, but it works.
I have the full VX version.
I mostly use the MP3 trimmer utility that came with it to create custom ringtones for my phone. :)
jetaudio is useful if you aren't experienced with other programs doing the same job much better, but that's all ;)
I'm moving this to the Jetaudio forum as it doesn't appear to be an X5 issue so much as a software issue.
