View Full Version : New smilies
I couldn't stand the look of those old smilies any more, so they have all been thrown away, junked and scrapped. Now there are some new ones - I hope you like them - I sure do! [thumbsup]
The new smilies use new code as well, so old posts might look funny. Sorry about that.

There's something wrong with the 'default' picture: when you create a message with no smiley next to the title, it displays the text "default", and not a picture (like with this post).
But nice that we have something new here now. [wink]
Yeah, I'll check through the admin area and see if I can find the right setting.
Thanks for the thumbs up [biggrin]
Okay, I fixed the issue. Thanks [smile]
Great, and you even thought of a smilie for X5 firmware upgrades [beta]

The new emoticons are more consistent; I like that. The old emoticons each had a different style, which was not nice.
[toungue] [rofl] [blink] [excited] [thumbsup] They're much nicer than the old ones!

Nice! I hated how the only way to express laughter on the old ones was one smiley hitting another with an 'lol' sign. Maybe its just me but that doesn't represent laughter very well.
[rofl]
Okay, thank god most of you guys agree with me on the fact that the new smiles are way better than the old ones. [cool]
That LOL-hitting smilie was actually rather good, IMO.. something different, abstract... but [rofl] is nice as well.
You're not getting the hitting one back. I hated that one loads.[devil]
I miss the mooner shakin' it! [blush]

I hated the mooner. I'm so glad it's gone. I also hated that LOL one. The new one still looks funny.
^Second. The mooner always seemed rather prone to abuse in any case. The LOL one didn't bother me nearly as much, though it did get...tiresome...sometimes.
lol... the lol-smackage was my favorite

It has gotten uptight here recently. Even though I rarely used the mooner, I had to chuckle at the shakin' there as I wrote a message; tended to keep one humble. [cursing]
Using it in the context of a joke is one thing, but frequently I saw it used during name-calling and other personal attacks, and _that_ I take issue with.
im like LoL (old styled) too...

Well, you're not getting it back [toungue]
at least if I have anything to decide here.
Hey, a2lover...do you think you could ease up on replying to posts that are more than a month old, especially if you're only going to add a sentence or two that, no offense, doesn't really advance the topic?
Thanks.
