I wanted to share some links I find pretty interesting, here goes:

http://www.audioscrobbler.com/
With a plugin the played songs are registered in the database, which then can be viewed online ... well, to get an impression of what it is, take a look at my profile http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/Gweilo/

another similar Site is http://www.music-map.com/
This site tries to generate maps of music with similar bands being closer together. The data is gathered from Gnoosic (http://www.gnoosic.com/)

Also http://www.musicplasma.com/ does that too

I use it. Its awesome... There's also a .php file created by my friend that shows you the last song you listened to. It's useful for personal websites, profiles and forums.

I had a look at music-map and really like it. I've been looking for something like that, without knowing this existed. Great to type in your favorite bands and find out about some new music that you might also like.

Combine this with soulseek (also an advise of this forum) to share music and the M3 player and the fun of experimenting with new music is complete!

I really like the combination of music-map, soulseek and the M3!

I suppose you were talking to me Gweilo. Replace "name" with your username at Audioscrobbler.

Hey, aewon! Just a quick correction (if anyone cares), I didn't write the entire script. After I posted about Audioscrobbler (http://www.cszen.com/index.php/topic,1746.msg24333.html#msg24333
