Rockbox main menu issue

Has anyone else had any issues with not being able to access there main menu on rockbox? My X5L seems to be running fine other than I can't seem to locate my main menu. The manual on rockbox states to hold the play button down, but it does nothing for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Press the Record button for the Main Menu. Hold down the Record button for the Quick Menu.

And hold down the joystick for the quickscreen. It's differnet from the quick menu. It contains things which you would want to access quickly while listening to music such as sound options, repeat, and shuffle.
