Just got mine (last night) !! :D
It's even smaller than I dared believe - especially the remote - I'm going to have to look over the remote carefully, it's very different from the iHP140 - and I keep pressing the wrong buttons !
Found it for £245 in Tottenham Court Road, London, having rung about 30 stores where most said "wot, an iPod ??", some said - "ahh the M3, great machine, No Sorry - none in stock". Finally, HARP Stores (part of the AskDirect group) were selling it at £250, £245 for non credit cards said "yeah, got a few, I'll put one aside"
So, sorry advancedmp3players.co.uk, a cancellation order is on the way and I'm off now to actually read the manual........ ;)
Awesome!
Tell us more when you have played a little with it :-D

That was my first reaction, too. I opened the box and said, "Oh, wow... this thing is small!". :D
i assume it's about the size of a deck of cards? (at least i imagine it to have that size)

It's taller than a deck of cards... but it's about as long as the length of a deck... the depth is maybe 1/3 of a deck of cards.

I think I actually saw a comparison photo of it with a deck of cards next toit.
I, too, thought it was very small when I opened it. Was muchly impressed by its small size :D

Especially the remote - I expected it to be longer - the screen's quite small, but easily readable - it's very cute !

I kinda dislike the remote... a lot... it feels really flimsy and clumsy in my hands. But you know what... the functions and player itself are so worth the crappy remote design.

Yes, the plastic remote looks incredibly cheap when compared to the attractive metal finish of the player itself, although I gather this was deliberate, given the tendancy for displays to become scratched etc. After a few months or use and being bundled around practically everywhere I go, my remote certainly has a few scratches here and there. Fortunately, the player has been rather well prodtected by it's case.
Regardless, I will still jump on the opportunity to pick up a higher quality remote as a separate purchase - perhaps with a larger, colour screen, and manufactured from the same metal used for the player case.
Cheers,
James

Hi,
I got mine also yesterday, ordered it via Ebay for only E 270 (sending from the States with priority included, and the cradle included). I really love it. It's so small and looks great. I also like the sound-quality, very very good.
I bought one because I still have a very old radio in my car which I can't use to play CD's. Now I can use the Iaudio in my car and listen to MP3-versions of my CD's.
I also like to use it to listen to audio-books. I really like Harry Potter on Iadio!
I had some troubles getting started:
1. It took about 30 minutes before I found out that there are two 'hold' buttons which prevented Iaudio to function.
2. It took another hour to find out that I should put my MP3's NOT in de playlist-folder, but in the main directory.
3. It took 45 minutes to find out how to scroll between MP3's, because I pushed the 'mode' button instead of the 'menu' button. STUPID from me!
However, now it all works fine and I keep finding out more and more.
Greeting, Ellen.

Hi Ellen!
I'm not sure why, but apparently it's not a good idea to store your music in the main root folder of the M3. iAudio recommend creating a sub-folder, for example 'Music', then perhaps sorting everthing into more sub-folders for artists/album/genres etc.
Take it easy,
James

Hi James,
Good suggestion, I will add a music-folder.
I've been playing with the Iaudio for another evening and it works really well! I always try to use this kind of stuff without reading the manuals, however that didn't work for the Iaudio. You really need the manual to find out the basic function of the two scroll-wheels at the remote. But then it's rather easy to work with.
I'm at chapter 10 of Harry Potter already. Really like to listen books on it, for example in my car.
Bye, Ellen
