sadness, my a2 is crappin out on me; the video prob i mentioned earlier isnt cause of the format of the video; i noticed recently that a video would freeze up, then none of the videos would work, regardless of format, till i turned it off, then restarted, got some play for about 45 seconds before it froze again. power indicator says its full of juice, but video prob only fixed when i plugged in the a2 to the wall :( i dunno, mebe its still a video format problem, but these are the same format as the ones ive been usin fine since i got the a2. i did, however, recently get that ebay battery pack, used it twice; could that be part of the prob? and if so, is it permanent, or will it fix itself after recharging fully a few more times from the wall?

the amount of power in the battery won't have anything to do with program errors like that... Unless it was a battery problem :P
But your problem would be easily fixed by formatting and reinstalling firmware.

so the fact that it only messes up when its not plugged in has nothin to do with the power? seems like it would, since it runs fine when its plugged into the wall; i'll try a reformat though anyway

A reformat is always a good idea before diagnosing it as a battery problem... Though it does sound like it COULD be a battery current problem, it might not be, and it would suck it send the a2 back for repairs/a new unit.
Sorry, i somehow missed the part about the problem being corrected when you connect the unit to the ac adapter.
