Sony hd1 Player

Atrac player has 20gb but very very noticable smaller then the m3 and ipod etc.
i have a few questions. How come iaudio doesent get 1 inch hdd and make a mp3 or is that what the m5 is going to be like ?Also how come sony was stupid enough to released a atrac player and a dificult program that takes 6+ hours to configure just to convert your music which i may add ... SSLLOOWWLLYY!

Well Sony is renowned for promoting their proprietary format (memory stick anyone?) which is understandable.. althought not smart..
I don't even know why they don't support mp3s..
I heard that they might introduce new firmware to support mp3s.. but unless I actually see that.. I think their players are useless. There is no way I am going to sit and turn 20 GB of mp3 into ATRAC

is the hdd a sony made product or is it made by lets say toshiba or something?

I don't think Sony makes hard drives. I had few Sony vaios and all of them had hard drives from different companies

HD1 havn`t Track Searcher !! when i listen to the hip-hop music~ but now i listen to the oldpopmusic ~ hwo i do? lol
