Problem: The sound output on my headphone jack plays all of my music some what distorted, mainly the vocals are impossible to hear and the volume seems to be alot less effective(having to keep it around 30-35 to hear it at all). I have had my iaudio x5 for six months and this has only recently occured. first i thought this might of been a problem with my mp3s being corrupted so i deleted them on my iaudio and put new ones on, that didnt work. So i thought maybe it could be my headphones, tried multiple headphones and stil lthe same problem. I also tried the line out on the adapter, which sounds perfectly fine. Switching between the lineout and the headphone jack, you can tell there is a major difference in sound quality and audibility of voices. I also tried upgrading to firmware 2.10b4-e. As you can see i have covered almost all possibilities of fixing this problem.
Is there a way i can fix this prblem or should i just RMA

I also couldnt find a way to RMA on cowons site so if some one could direct me to that it would be helpful:)

thanks for taking your time to read this and hopefully help

sounds like RMA to be honest. I would guess that there is a problem with the connections in the jack, and so theres not much you can do yourself. This would be the most likely fault that could cause a problem like this.

Have you tried zeroing out the EQ and turning off the BBE effects and such?

This happened exactly the same with my my other dap.
I checked the headphone jack inside the player and
found out the common ground solder was broken.

I just re soldered it.
