View Full Version : I'm looking for decent PC speakers
I want to buy a decent (BUT CHEAP) set of speakers to use with my computer. I need some recomendations of speakers and places to get it, online preferably. I'm in the US. I'm planning to spend no more than $30.00 (don't laugh) :)
Good luck with getting decent speakers below $30,- ...
(Altec Lansing and Bose might have some stuff in that price range.)
here ya go, this should do nicely:
Yeah... I was going to suggest the M-Audio Studiophile DX4, (what I have :D ) but they run around 80 usda last time I checked... VERY good speakers though
I am using a Logitech´s X230, it´s cheap and has a nice subwoofer...it makes the "boooommm booooom booooommmm" very well
Logitech or Altec Lansing should be good. Bose...heh well their not so cheap

Not to sound mean or anything, but I'd be surprised if you find many people here on these forums who will provide you with a first hand account of how good/bad any of the budget speakers are. You could just go to one of the aforementioned stores, check out some stuff in the $30.00-$50.00 range (take your iAudio player with ya!), and then go home and order them online from newegg.com or something, and probably save 20% over retail. Just a thought. Maybe start here (http://www.circuitcity.com/rpsm/catOid/-13041/N/20012961+20013011+20013041/rpem/ccd/categorylist.do). Logitech has made pretty good products IMO, but I dunno about speakers. I'm a Klipsch man myself (but I seriously don't think you'll find anything from them for under $80.00). Good luck!
