451Has anyone tried the Samsung YP-C1Z 1GB MP3 Player? It seems to be very similar to the G3. AA battery and everything. The joystick/pad might be more reliable. (The image is clickable, if you're logged in.)

Its effects (EQ and SRS-WOW) are no match for the ones of the G3. That GUI there also doesn't look as helpful as the one on the G3. I can't compare the controls though, without having tried the Samsung. I haven't examined the encoding quality either. Regardless, this seems better than anything else that Samsung has come up with or even announced yet. I'm glad they finally got something right.
