Right now I run my X5 thru the Aux inputs of my deck with an RCA cable. Since my subpack(s) wont give me a decent line out I use the dock. I found this online...

I could mount it under the dash or in the glove box. What do you guys think? Ditch the wire?

You would need the iAudio FM transmitter not the ipod one obviously. The iAudio one is fairely good. The sound quality seriously lacks but thats probly since its using FM transmition. Also it doesn't have a very good range and you should turn off the all effects so it sounds somewhat decent. I would use a lineout instead of FM but sometimes you can't.

I guess i was thinking this would be better quality than an FM transmitter and close to the RCA in I am using. It says this one works with any mp3 player just stick it on the headphone jack or line out.

You might be badly disapointed. They claim that you need the ipod adaptor to use that, and it seems to only have a mono plug. I'm not sure that it will even work.

tsayin you were right, it didn't work.needs the "brain" ($200) to make it work.wish they would have told me that on the phone when I ordered it.im sending in back for the one below.same price, needs power which should be easy to do.only 2 fm channels to choose from.
