http://www.vgmix.com/ is another nice site. Lots of mp3s (with higher bitrate) end up here before they end up at OCReMix.
Anyways here on some songs I recently downloaded
Rexy - Dream An Eastern Peace (vgmix)
Zelda 3 - The Goddess Appears (ocremix)
bLind - White Skies (vgmix)
goat - Scourge of 1691 (vgmix)
Deus Ex1 musik kicks ass and the Machinae Supremacy soundtrack to jets and guns is pretty cool It's even a free download:

Right at the bottom of the page there is an ogg download.
I have the soundtrack to Halo and Medal of Honor.
i like a lot of snes game soundtracks. my favorite sountracks are the xenogears and final fantasy tactics soundtracks from the playstation. i have both of those soundtracks on my x5.

Anyone have Amon Tobin - Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory Soundtrack?
I like all of Amon's stuff.
I have some Final Fantasy and Zelda music, but that's just about it. I barely listen to them though.
Game Soundtracks is the best music... I'm listening to them all the time... soundtracks from games like Neverhood, Silent Hill or American McGee's Alice are simply amazing!

Final Fantasy X ost's great, I really like it. The XII's one's also quite OK. That's probably cause I like these games...
And also music from an RTS called Dominion - nice, quite simple electronic music. Generaly I prefer old prog rock music (70s') and the Dominion's soundtrack is the only electronic music on my X5.

I like the music from the Tekken series (search up "Tekken Forces" on Google, for Tekken resources!). It's got a misture of techno/electronica music and also nice quiet and relaxing 'lounge' music.

OH MAN! Touche on the Monkey Island. The games and music were awesome. I wish they kept it all 2d (not-so) crappy graphics though haha, that was the best.

obviously the final fantasy music is almost too good to be vg music. Besides that there is always the zelda music, and i spent a long time sifting through the hundreds of tracks that accompany Smash bros Brawl

I'm someone that uses Winamp with plugins to playback:
VGM files - Megadrive module format
SPC files - Snes module format
ADX files - Dreamcast
Minidsf files - Dreamcast module format
SSF files - Sega Saturn module format
MiniUSF files - Nintendo 64 module format
NSF files - Nes module format
As you can guess, I'm well into listening to them as they are meant to be - decoded as they are playing using the original tracker format (except for the Dreamcast's ADX files which are indeed compressed audio tracks, like MP3), but the others play like MIDI, but with in-built sounds.
The same way tracker formats like IT, S3M, MOD, XM, etc, would play.

My favourite game soundtracks are from Silent Hill series, Total Annihilation, and Shadow of the Colossus. I don't have any of them though, but fit the games really well.

Can't believe no one's mentioned the DK Country series music, specially Donkey Kong Country 2, they're so lounge-like: YouTube - Best VGM 71 - Donkey Kong Country 2 - Stickerbrush Symphony

I have them all, including all the Donkey Kong songs from all the past games :)
The snes plugin for Winamp plays all the spc files I have of all the games - 989 game music sets to be exact.

I'm a huge fan of game music, especially soundtracks by Koji Kondo, Yasunori Mitsuda, and Nobuo Uematsu. :) Does anyone know how to play tracker formats (.nsf, .spc, etc.) on the Cowon S9? I've discovered Rock Box but I don't think they have a version for Cowon platforms. I would love to have these files with me instead of converting them to MP3s which would be a hassle and take up more space.

I'm afraid not, and Rockbox only plays basic MOD files.
The only way is to convert to MP3/OGG or similar.
I use Winamp with these files anyway, so can simply set a playlist, set the Output to Nullsoft Disc Writer and they'll output as Waves in the desired location, and then simply convert these using my OGG Vorbis encoder. The job is done
