How to rip mp3 with JetAudio Basic VX

Hello,

maybe I am missing something here.
I bought a iAUDIO X5 and installed JetAudio 6.2.1.6701 Basic VX that came on the CD-ROM allong with the player.
If I want to RIP a CD the file format MP3 is not listed on the pull-down menu. Do I have to upgrade to the pro version or do I just miss something else?

The basic ver does not include MP3 encoder. I guess you have to upgrade to the Plus ver.
If for that reason, look for EAC freeware. A very popular audio CD ripper and conversion. You may have to look for LAME too and configure it as an external encoder for MP3. Both software are free. Save a few bucks.
