Alright, well i made one of these a while back, and i thought i should make a new one, since firmware has changed, minds have changed, ideas have changed.

I'm not adding DRM or ID3 or USB-OTG 2.0 because they are either working or are a work in progress ( i believe the Usb Host is 1.1 port, so it won't work unless we get the X5 USB Hub as an accesory).

I didn't put gapless on because:

1) Many people say it isn't possible, so i don't want to make them angry
2) Just put it as other.

If you select other please say what you want.

EDIT: oops. i messed up in the title of the poll.

Other: delete from normal browser without going into host mode.

Gapless...

I never thought it mattered much till I started encoding live albums or albums that are meant to be heard as one long continuous piece of music. I use ogg vorbis which is designed to be able to do gapless and I think that this is needed.

For me everything else is something that'd be nice but not totally needed (I could live without it) but I'd really really really like gapless.

Konechiwa, why single selection voting only? want to vote at least three options at the same time. Regardless, dynamic playlist would be my number 1.

So people pick the one they need the most.

Out of those, definitely dynamic playlists. There's nothing dynamic about the one we have at all. I guess it would be nice to be able to save multiple dynamic playlists too, but I'd settle for the basic functionality. Enqueue and Play Next are what we need!

Better playlist managing (with folders?), and a better (more scattered/evenly distributed, so not a truly random) shuffle mode

prio A:
- better shuffle (like Tim said)
- faster scroll speed in browser
- case insensitive sorting
- smaller font in browser

I agree Gapless is needed badly, it's hell to listen to some album's with gaps.

- no limitations on folders and files
- faster power up (without scanning the entire disk)
- playlists managable in folders
- case insensitive sorting

Dynamic playlists.

It would be nice if we could save the current dynamic playlist as a m3u, but because there is no keyboard available perhaps there could just be a certian ammount of saved playlist "slots."

Just an idea.

An evenly distributed shuffle would probably took up too many resources to be implemented.

1. Removing of folder and playlist limits(firmware issue or not?)
2. ID3 Tag Browsing
3. More Dynamic Playlist
4. Volume Normalize
5. WAV Recoding
6. More customizable blue screen display(i.e. I would like to see genre displayed in case my friend used my player and was searching for a specific rock song).
7. Faster Browser Scrolling
8. Video bookmarks
9. Charge through normal USB port while browsing files on the computer/using the player alone
10. Play Count(in the ID3 database, you could sort by playcount of artist, album, genre, etc.)

Gapless is an absolute must. I listen to house music constantly, and its imparative that this be fixed.

If it's possible, integrate the A/V Out, and a compatibility with all video sizes.
And in USB-Host, it isn't possible to copy folders AND sub-folders.

+ compatibility with .MPC

Please, let me dream.

Gapless! (Sheesh, even my Palm Pilot's Aeroplayer plays gapless...)
MusePack!
WAV recording! (It's even easier to do than MP3-encoding...)
File deleting without going into USBHost mode!
The possibility to remap the A/B button, it's completely useless!
Color schemes for the GUI! (God, I hate that blue...)

Don't you mean AAC?

well... yes aac -> *.m4a

aaahm, y?

If with "y" you mean "why" - I was just asking, cause you've written "acc" two times in this thread, so I thought it might be another format, since there are enough unsupported, exotic audio-formats around...

no, i was just regarding to chrisfield, if the one he meant was me ;)
