Headphone + Computer = Disaster

So I don't have my speakers for my computer (which I would normally plug my headphones into), so I plugged them directly into the audio port on the computer and it sounds horrendous. All treble no bass. Is this normal? I thought my computer would be able to produce better sound.

If it's typical onboard sound...that's normal. Don't mind all the buzzing and chirping, either. Make sure you're using an output for headphones, though.

Most computers suck at producing sound. That's why the AV710 exists, along with very well priced USB audio devices. Around $30 shipped will get you in business, if you're in the U.S..

Ok, thanks. I was using my Sennheiser 201s. I just decided to use my X5 and screw any computer sounds ;).
