Can I use Iriverter to convert video and rip DVD for the U3? I have the Iaudio X5 and have a lot of these videos already, do I need to transcode them for the U3? Also, is the screen bright and detailed enough to watch a half-hour show?

yes you can. I believe the U3 has the same pixel count (160x128) as the X5, so you should just convert normally like you would for the X5.
Ehh Iriverter wasn't quite as good as jetaudio VX when it comes to converting video.
jetaudio VX will be your best bet on U3, i was able to watch bleach on my U3 :]

If the screen is smaller than the X5 but with the same pixel, does that mean the screen looks better than the X5? I noticed some "screen-door" effect on my X5.

ahha i never knew thanks for lettin me know cause i only got jetshell from cd and kept my jetaudio that i had from before
