Just a FYI:

after 3 weeks of owning the X5L it died on me.

Display shows HDD Error during bootup and then shuts
down again.

I hear faint clicking noises from the disk which repeat a few times during bootup but eventually display shows HDD error and thats the end of it.

Returned for refund..

Anyone had problems like this?
I wonder if Toshiba had a bad batch of disks.

This EXACT same thing happened to me today. It's going to be a very sad time until I get it fixed and shipped back to me. I'm so dissapointed. :(

You may be able to change the HDD but it would void your warranty

Maybe try running Scandisk on it?

You can't run scan disk because the drive itself doesn't even start up
