Ok, I some how managed to do something while walking outside to make the clip on my x5 case come off. Thus making the x5 land on the cement. But when it landed it must have landed on the headphone jack, because i got no sound out of it after. I use one of those L shaped jacks. So im thinkin it landed on that when it fell on the cement. SO now the jack is messed up, like i can hear the contacts scrape on the inside and the little black piece wiggles around and yeah its bad. i have an extended warranty on it that i got when i bought it from newegg, but the warranty doesnt kick in until the manufacterer warranty ends. so HELP ON MY RMA PLEASE!!!! on what to do! haha

ps if anyone got the exnteded warranty from new egg please reply i need help figuring out how that works because i called and the lady was mentioning ADP " ACCIDENTAL DAMAGE PROTECTION (ADP) CUSTOMERS (Optional) " I have the one year net replacement plan.

~thanx all~

i have only rma'd one item before which was a hitachi hard drive.
but anyway check this site out first http://www.cowonamerica.com/support/shopping/return_warranty.html

i'm pretty sure you're gonna first have to request for an Rma # so email them or call them. talk to them.

But i would try to see what newegg could do for you, they have excellent costumer service. See if that can do anything for you first.

Edit: A question to anyone else who's RMA'd their X5, do i have to keep the X5 container to be eligible for the RMA? like the plastic box that came with the iaudio x5l DAP.
Wont people trash it? example, eat the candy, trash the wrapper lol
But anyway i'm asking because i feel like cutting the box and making my own temp. case for my X5l lol

In general when you RMA a product with the manufacturer they ask you to package it securely and only include the faulty parts, they dont need anything else, it'd only cause them more trouble when they send you the player back and forget to include he ac adapter or something. The original packaging is usually the most secure for transit but any packaging will do.

If your returning the product to a retail store they'll want the original packaging.
