Hi i was just wandering if anyone could tell me how to listen to the radio on my x5.

Um...change the mode to radio? That should do it.

You sure you're not a troll? What's next? "How do I turn my X5 on?" This is basic stuff and it's all in the owner's manual. See page 13 on how to switch between different modes (digital AV, radio, voice recorder, etc.).

when i hold the joystick down for 2 seconds the menu pops up but theres no radio there?

As BlueHawk pointed out on the main forum, you have an X5V (no FM radio).
