A2 and mpg/mpg2 support?

Does the A2 support these formats? I don't see these formats listed under video support. I have a lot of music videos in vcd/svcd format and it'd be nice if the A2 can play them without having to convert them to divx/wmv. I also use these recording formats for pc dvr recording.

mpeg1 support was promised to be included in a future firmware, might happen or might not.
no word of mpeg2 support.

i'd be also interested to know how the A2 deals with wmv files. does it only play them up to 320*240 and low bitrate?

MY mpeg2 locks up after 5% loading, and some mpeg problem. Also after this hitting back doesn't seem to work on other videos. I have to reboot player, and holding power button doesn't work for 20 seconds , I get nothing.

Very depressing... Creating a dvd type movie file (mpeg2) fails. Hmmm.

I created a large photo slideshow in dvd format and it won't open.

ANd another time just at loading 0%, and locked, only way out thru power button. (back doesn't work). What's interesting is that other mpeg2 do work apparently, so no rhyme or reason here.
