I've read about this problem that the A2 has when recording video from TV, DVD, etc., with Those Unsync & drop frame problems at the 640x480 setting.
Now I know that means that the playback quality sucks on an external monitor or TV, but how does the problem look on the A2? Does the quality of recordings at 640x480 look good when played on the A2?
And how about the quality at 368x272 setting?

playback quality looks good on A2's 4-inch screen whether recorded in 368x272, or recorded in 640x480, but not in the larger desktop PC screen or in your laptop screen.

Because you can imagine the pixel not enough. I guess the 640x480 would be enough to show good on desktop PC monitor, but then the bitrate not enough again (because only bitrate of 1.5 mega kps is at par with DVD quality, whereas A2 can only at most record at 1 mege kps).

Yes, there're still drop-frame & unsync problems at A2 recording at the 640x480 mode (whether at 1mb kps or at 800 kps) there. Hope firmware update would fix that soon

Thanks Johnny. As long as the videos look good on the A2, I'll be happy.

Not at all, dre.

Right now it's problem-free only recorded at the 368x272 setting.

And of course your source of recording (from DVD or VCR or TV) must be good too in order to be shown good on the A2's 4-inch screen. Last night I record "Stealth" on the A2 & the results shown good on A2 with the stealth jetfighters flying across the A2 screen without ghosting or drop frame or unsync (at 368x272 setting)..
