what good is it when NOT IN STOCK?
Due in stock 04/11/05
Cowon iAudio are proud to bring you the amazing A2, the ultimate experience when it comes to portable multimedia players, a true digital evolution. With Cowon A2’s clear and wide 4” LCD screen, users are able to enjoy realistic movies and also record or watch TV programs through an AV in/output jack. The only MP3/4 player in the world featuring the astonishing BBE sound system offering: Mach3Bass, MP Enhance, 3D Surround and a 5 band EQ. Superb Cresyn headphones finish off the truly remarkable audio capabilities of the A2. On top of all this the A2 player also supports photo view, text reading, FM radio listening and recording, as well as voice recording and direct encoding through a built in microphone and line-in input jack. But what makes the A2 a cut above the rest is a far superior battery life with 10 hours of movie and 18 hours of audio playback time.
It''s the only place i've seen selling the A2 to UK anyway. I'm still deliberating whether or not to buy it or not but if I do it'll be from here.

its in stock now, and I just spoke to a nice welsh woman on the phone who said the player will be in later today and my payment has gone through, so the player should be with me tommorrow....:bigthumbs
i'm very excited....
also its a really good price for this side of the pond, I even mailed a dvd company I use a lot called dvdfromkorea, because I know they sometimes they can provide electronics to customers outside korea, even though they don't sell them through the site, they told me the 30gb A2 is 499 korean won, and then of course shipping... about us$20 for ems.....
in the end the cost came out to just under 300 quid.....and then of course you could get hit by customs :thumbsdow
basically its worth paying buying it today..... for the extra £15 you get a uk warranty and no chance of being hit by customs.... and of course you get it quick....
:jamming:

STILL I DIDNT READ THE FINE PRINT, LOL
but when I saw the numbers 316 I just though USD and actually thought I was getting a deal..
than cancelled my order w/ iAudio.. but when I looked closer seen that they go by pounds than did the conversion..
oh well, maybe for the better, becuz from what Im reading the A2 is not doing to go when it comes to recording and maxes out at 1 M bps which is not even DVD quality..
And thats really what I was a PVP for, recording shows and such.. While the Archos records ata whopping 2.5 M bps but you need that DAMN CRADDLE..
well, back to the drawing board when it comes to PVP.. I will give it some time, their are a lot of companies that are gonna bloom on the PVP market and dont wanna get stuck with something Im not happy with..
So maybe it was for the better,,
God works in funny ways and tho I may be angry now I may thank you later..
Just feel sorry for us UK'rs things are so damn expensive here compared to you guys on the other side of the pond. Like you said £315 in USD was very expensive for you guys and thats after the 10% has been taken off. Without the 10% it'd normally be £350. which as you can imagine is pretty expensive more so compared to the prices the US get.

sure just times:
350 x 1.76 which is the current conversion rates...
which is at whopping 616 USD, ouch!
I know I get screwed with the euro dollar when I go to europe countries which is usually 1.25 USD to get 1 euro dollar, rates vary but still I lose about 25 cents or so for every american dollar that turns intoa euro dollar..
I guess UK was smart and seen they wouldnt benefit from that stupid euro dollar.

I don't think I mislead you in anyway... I talked about paying in £'s, the website was a .co.uk, and I talked about shipping to the uk...
you obviously didn't read what i'd written very closely...
but yeah we do pay more over here in the uk, for most things in general, but then its all relative, as we get paid more etc etc...
so yeah I guess I paid $100 more than most of you guys across the pond would pay, but if I imported it, there's a high chance it'll get busted by customs, and get a bill for import duty, plus higher shipping rates to the uk, plus my warranty wouldn't be valid as its outside the country of purchase.....
basically, it works out cheaper and better for uk residents to buy it from here...
