Uh, how can I actually ad album at to a music file? Like a good and free way of doing it would be cool.

for my sister's ipod (i know, i know) i had her go to amazon.com, look up the artist and album, get the full size image of the album up, and drag the picture into the 'album art' box on itunes. this way you dont have to save the file to your computer - it automatically adds the art to the song (adds a few kb of space too)

iTunes does that very handy indeed. You can use it in combination with iTunes Art Importer --> http://www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtml
It makes the process alot easier, the program searches amazon for you and you can add the pics with one click to multiple songs.

I use thishttp://louhi.kempele.fi/~skyostil/projects/albumart/ but it addes the pictures to the folder... not the file itsself..

Yeah, I want to ad it in the file itself, and I really don't feel like installing iTunes. I wonder what Winamp can do ...
jetAudios album art doesn't show up. :tongueu:

has anybody gotten this to work? i usually use a program called tag&rename to do it, but i'm here at work and can't install jack . . . :-/ i was pretty sure that i had embedded all of my cocteau twins albums with the album art, though, but no go on seeing it come up yet . . .

by "work" i mean "have the album cover show up on the player" . . .

Actually Album Art doesn't work yet on the player. The pics from the Cebit are kinda "faked". Instead of the CD logo they had a fixes image of Mariah Carey (or however you spell her). :woh:

Tag&rename is an excellent windos program for managing id3 tags (and album art). I highly recommend it for anyone wishing to organize their files.

Pay for what?

I use Windows Media player to add Album art and it works just fine, you just have to navigate the album using a search and add it. I can't remember the exact steps, but I had to learn to do it trying to test a hoax that was done for the H300 series. However as someone said I'd wait until the A2 actually supports it (if it doesn't already, I don't know).

Tag and rename you have to pay for past the trial time.... but I already have my own method of tagging and placing album art

itunes embeds the artwork in the file, I tried some on my A2 just now, it doesn't see the art, but then I guess if it can't read ID3 tags it can't read the artwork embedded in it...

firmware.... firmware... firmware update

Nah I think it can read ID3 tags just it doesnt allow you to search with them.

There currently is no ID3 tag browsing on the A2...
