As a quick question what are the difference (in terms of features) between the X5 and the A2? I'd like to know if i'm missing out on any of the X5 features if I get the A2.

And does it play DRM Music? and also i've heard about similarly protected video files does it play that too or?

Damn .....!!! :eek: i bough it for 439,000 korean won that stands something around 420 dollars. Now its going to release at 399$ MRP in US.....:(

anyway i am happy to be early owner of this lovely bird while u all freaks in US are desperately waiting for it :tongueu:

I believe so, but at the moment resellers will be recieving there units until our next shipment, which can take a while. I think supplies are pretty limited so get them while you can.

Just gotta finish a newsletter that will be sent to all cowon forum users etc. There is also going to be a special remote give away for the A2, so look to the newsletter for details. When the newsletters is released it will then be available.

first post here but I've been watching this thing hoping it will be released. I was torn between the A2 or the AV500 but I'm pretty sure I'll pick A2 because of the text thing (i would use this alot for school and reading) and the extreme beauty of the A2 (hats off to the designers).

If I'm not mistaken only the 30gig version is on the site but a 20 gig version should be offered soon as well, right?

i was almost ready to buy it online but realized it was a white colored version. i want the 30 GB black so i guess i will have to wait a few more days if it ever comes in black. :lol:

thanks, i actually ordered it at 430 am after getting home from clubbing . . . now i gotta call them and see if i can change the shipping address from my home to my office - dont wanna be sittin at the office wondering where my A2 is!!!

so i tried ordering an a2 yesterday and today. everytime i got to the last step "place order", i would get an error message saying my billing and shipping addresses didn't match. i would check them... i made sure they were exact... looked fine to me. tried again, and again. tried again today.

i look at my order status and i see 5 "not finalized" orders with 5 distinct order numbers.

checked my bank account... they have the transfers pending for ~$2000. haha. called cowon and said that within 3-5 days the bank would release the funds but not to worry because cowon wouldn't process it.

glad i didn't try a couple more times! :woh:

but seriously if cowon doesn't accept the order... then why do they place holds on the money... that's kinda jacked. putting your hands on my money should be the last step in your online ordering process and should ONLY happen when i get a message saying "CONGRATS ON THE NEW A2"

There is no black or white A2. The picture of the A2 shown everywhere is the only model that you can buy.
