How to Create Playlists?

I read in the manual that you need to use the computer hooked up to the X5 wih a program like Winamp or Jetshell. I was wondering if there is a way to save the dynamic playlist as a playlist. Also, is it possible to create or edit a playlist on the X5 without hooking it to a computer? Sorry about the newb question but I couldn't find it in the forums.

The only way you can create/edit a playlist without using a PC is to use the dynamic playlist option.

I don't believe you can save the DPL to the PC, but I might be wrong about that.

yeah, i don't think you can save the DPL, but it should be easy enough to recreate with winamp.

Thanks for the quick replies. I was afraid of that. I must admit, I'm a little annoyed by Cowan's X5 advertisement which states the following:

"Create and edit playlists directly on the X5. Organize your songs any way you like... Also user can edit playlist while playing. Add or delete."

When I read that, I thought I could make multiple playlists, which is important to me, without having to use the computer. :nutty:

Well... they said that you could edit playlists directly on the X5 (which you can). However they didn't mention anything about saving them. Perhaps in a firmware update (though I doubt it very much so)
