If you agree A2's LCD screen is the most important part of this babe, you'd try to find the most transparent, the strongest, or the most durable Screen Protector for it. The original screen protector that comes with A2 is just NOT transparent enough & is just too soft for my liking there. I decided to dump it & find a replacement

jurassic5 suggests Exim ----> Exim (http://www.pda-now.com/screenprotector.php)

but I cannot find the 16x9 size for A2 in the market, so had to give up Exim.

Done some research & a review marking 5 brands of screen protectors respectively, based on ease of attaching to screen, higher or lower transparency, ease of cleansing , strongness, reflectivity, angle of viewing, & level of water-proofness. Markings:

1) A.R.M. Kit =23
2) Momax =30
3) MonStor =24
4) Moshi Moshi =25
5) Screen Mask =24
6) Taku =20

I finally chose A.R.M Kit (Screen Protector for SONY -PSP) because it's got the highest mark in "Transparency" which is what I count as most important for my A2. The result with A.R.M Kit is great, enhancing the potential of the A2 screen & its colors

http://www.armstation.com/armkit/content.php?cat_id=16

For you info, Momax & Screen Mask got the 2 lowest markings in "Transparency" for their screen protectors. And A.R.M Kit is the most expensive -- USD16-18 apiece, while the other brands selling USD5-10 apiece.

Do you really think you need a screen protector for the A2? (this is a sincere question.. no sarcasm) does it collect scratches ?

We hong kong people (I'm guessing hongkongie is from hong kong :) ) put screen protectors on everything. I have it on my cell phone, NDS, PSP, and all my camera screens. It doesn't necessarily mean the screens are very susceptible to scratch, but I figured I spent so much money on it, I might as well pay an extra bit more to protect it.

I just got the ARM kit for my PSP as well and it is very good. They are rather expensive. I got mine for $128 hkd.

Think it depends how frequently you put in & out of your briefcase or carrying bag or pocket, so one needs a screen protector for A2.

Of course the A2 is no where near the scratches-prone characteristic of IPod Nano :nutty:

For me I'll get a Screen Protector for my A2 because I cherish it so much :hi:

In my opinion the screen protector of A2 is good enough to serve its purpose, while its in use. For the rest of the time the beautifull leather case is good enough to take care of it. So frankly, people who will use it with case need not to worry at all about its screen. And buying an expensive screen protector additionally is just for one's personal satisfaction.
But definately, people who will not use the case and want to carry arroud A2 just bare body in their pockets or whatever way they like, should put some scratch protector. A clean and clear view film would do the job.

enjoy your A2 as I am doing, and dont forget to get a good set of headphones.:jamming:

how do you carry your A2 around daily? For me, I hide it in my skirt's pocket or in my overcoat's inner pocket.

The leather-case + A2 being stuffed in my skirt's pocket or overcoat's pocket, is just too bulky, I think, but the bare A2 hidden in my pocket seems acceptable size-wise.

So with this carrying style, the frequency of in/out does call for a good screen protector, in my opinion. After all, this is a rather expensive machine, & each other's carrying style is related to personal taste..

Fanboys of IPod sometimes laugh at us for carrying the bulky A2 around, but I dont feel A2 bulkly at all in my skirt's pocket....And IPod fans dont know what they're missing.

Yes enjoy your A2 too. :winker:

I just keep it in my bag that I always carry with me. For me A2 is quite bulky to carry in pockets like jeans or pants. But in winter, yes it is possible to carry in big pockets of thick jackets or coats.:o

I always keep it in the case. To me the case looks so cool beside keeping me in confidence of the safety of my A2.:)

I havent seen the remote controller yet in any store. I feel that it is kind of must for audio listening on the go.

the reason of my carrying the bare A2 around, is that with one touch of the turn-wheel i can control sound volume, flip songs shuffle-ly and/or repeat favorite MP3.

So until the remote controller is out, i think i have to carry the bare A2 around to fully enjoy MP3's while on the daily transport....

yes, it's the metallic button. When put inside my skirt's pocket, I can feel the button with by thumb & by it controlling the sound volume & flipping songs when listening MP3.

sorry for misleading description there (thx ironmonkey 2).

Yeah... got the awesome cans for it sr80s baby :jamming: And Im also faced with the problem of portable carying of the A2... cant decided if its going to be too big or just right in size...

sr 80 are great head phones over 100$ range. But as the reviews say those are no way suitable for going out. Quite big, not foldable and open design.

For home use they are perfect. I am looking for something which easy to carry. I have seen only one such yet i.e. Sennheiser PX-100.they are open too but are completely foldable and comes with a nice case to carry in the bag without any worry.

If you guys know something else like that and better ...do say .:)

I've got the Sennheiser ??-450 for usd35 but sorry to report i cannot get myself to like this kind of hallow & distant feel by using Sennheiser with A2.

Dont laugh: But I just use the simple IPod earbuds, and after tinkering with the EQ & BBE & Bass & turning up the volume, I have more down-to-earth & solid feel with A2....well, whatever turns me on (or rocks me on)

oh those are mx-450...I heared those are good. I have MX-500 which is quite popular. But I enjoy my A2 with Philips SBC-HP400 head phones while at home. Hp400 is quite odd to take outside for me so I am looking for more convenient and compact headphones that stayes close to head all around...and dont look bulky.

Dear johnny33,
I find it uncomfertable to ask you , but the curiosity is getting best of me now. Firstly I thought you are a guy as per your ID suggests. Then i was shocked when u mentioned about keeping A2 in "SKIRT" pocket. So I didnt dare to ask presuming u to be a girl... he he

But now you have clearly mentioned that you are a "simple guy" then I just cant stand to wonder anymore why would u use the word "SKIRT" as one of your apparel...!!!!!:woh:

I know this post is totally out of the line of A2.....but please bear with me..and help me out of this horrible confusion :nutty:

SHIRT'S POCKET :winker: REPEAT SHIRT'S POCKET (NOT skirt).

which proves you're a serious & sharp-eye reader, while I'm a careless bum who always dont get HIS spellings right. Also proving a word "SHIRT vs SKIRT" can cause misunderstanding of identity

i'm a straight guy who's also into Paris Hilton & Britnery Spears. And though I'm also into the TV hit series "Queer eye for the Straight guy" too, I aint intended to live their life style.

Blv me, variozin, I AM a guy who never wear any SKIRT yet unless I'm joining some kind of festival in Scotland:bigsmile:
