Did you try to reset it?

Exactly, I also had this problem, shouldn't be there anymore after a reset.

Yeah, first thing I tried to do - but no effect it's just sitting there, spinning away. No response or activity on remote. I'll try to reset again in a few minutes - don't want to hammer it incase I screw it up. Crap, just when I thought this player was the best thing invented since crack (!?!?!?!).

Even if, Cowon's customer service will help you.
Usually the HD stops spinning immediately after pressing the resume button...

Do you mean the reset button?

How long have you had your iAudio M3? What were you doing when it froze up? Example: Changing Songs, going to FM Tuner Mode or some other mode, etc.

I say you contact iAudio first thing. Just in case it doesn't get better.

my M3L froze for the first time this very morning too... I was trying to switch it off using the remote... got to reset it :( FYI, i'm using the V1.31e firmware... let's hope it's just a firmware issue

Yeah I thought you meant "Reset" button.

Well anyhow this situation doesn't look good. Only a few more days until I am ordering my iAudio M3L. Not fun hearing about stuff like this. I hope I get a good iAudio M3L.

As for everyone else get in contact with iAudio and tell us how they treat their customers with problems. I am interested in iAudio's Customer Service. Thanks.

Panic over! It stopped and switched off. Just restarted it and everything is back to normal. If this becomes reg, its gonna be a prob. Took about an 1h20mins. Really crapped it when the reset button did'nt stop it.

If I were you I would request I new one. You paid good money to have a properly operationg player. Use the warranty for it is meant to be used in cases like yours.

Hmm. Why is it that a "frozen" player is such a big deal? My player has frozen three times I think, I just pushed the reset button, problem solved. Some computers do it all the time.

Just wondering. :)

This person's sitiuation was that the Rest button was not responding. Meaning when it "froze" he pressed the reset button and nothing happened.

I had that happen to me yesterday. Instead of reseting in I connected it via USB to the pc and that unlocked it.
