Just got my x5 today and the subpack's usb port doesnt work.

the ac charger and line in/out works fine but when i tried to plug in the usb cable it doesnt work.

I think i may have shorted it or something because i thought i saw a flash of light and it smelled after.

All i did was plug in the usb cable into the subpack!

so i cant transfer files and I know my usb ports on the computer and the usb cable itself work fine (i tested it with another device)

so is there another way i can transfer files without the subpack?

is my subpack under warranty?

thanks

If you just purchased the X5, it's within warranty, yes.

BTW, in the future a more descriptive topic might yield better/faster results.

You can still use the USB Host (although at USB 1.1 Speeds).

Only if he was able to update to beta4 before the pack crapped out.

You can use the USB Host on firmware 2.07e too. You have to first turn on the player, go into the USB Host mode and hold REC for like two seconds (until the computer recognises the drive. Works just like the regular USB connection except you only have USB 1.1 speeds (which is pretty damn slow).
