Guys, I got a problem with my D3 which I have owned it for 6 months.
I got it yesterday when I was upgrading my device from firmware version 1.27 to 1.55,
The problem is that now my device cannot show the main menu, so when I turn it on it only shows "plenue" on the screen since I upgraded to the new firmware.
I have followed the instructions to upgrade the firmware one by one from the website and the error still happened.
I have also tried to enter the recovery mode by pressing on and play button together but still can't work.
I am considering to return it to the shop but if you guys can help me I would be very thankful...

I had this once.

But I was able to recover by letting the batteries discharge. I just left itat the "plenue" screen until the batteries ran out. Took no morethan a day or so (I just left it on the table and went to work).

Then, I plugged in the charger and wait for the device to boot. And it booted!

I don't know if this will work for you, but it did work for me. Sadly, some time afterward the D3 broke down completely(search for my post "touch screen failure" in this forum).

In addition to vvdb's advice, please note the following from the Cowon x.55 firmware page:
http://dn2.cowon.com/data/C08/D3/images/dot_red.gif
If the version of the firmware installed in your device is lower than x.53 version

please install the x.53 version before upgrading to version x.55.

Rather than jumping straight from x.27 to x.55 you need to install the major Gingerbread update (x.53) first and then do the x.55 upgrade.

You said you were installing the firmware updates 1 by 1 so not sure if you meant that you were doing this anyway...

Anyway I have fixed it already, I just downloaded the rooted version of the firmware(x.53) with the driver and installer as well and it worked on my device...thanks for the advice everyone I appreciate it
