I really want to get an X7 for it's great battery and storage space, but all the reading about the bugs really turn me off. are you guys happy with your X7?..have all the main bugs been fixed already (recognizing flac files, loading big files or a few files at once etc.)?

I did not encounter any of the bugs you mentioned. There are a few things
you have to know while using it, but that would be it.

When you finally hear the sound (after maybe using BBE, Mach3 Bass, MPE and so on), you will certainly not regret it. Ipods just cannot do that... if you couple this player with a potent headphone :jamming:(Sony XB500 or XB700) it will literally blow your mind. [thumbsup] Of course, as always it comes down to the taste and experience you have.

I haven't had any of these issues either. I'm not crazy on the touch-based user interface, but other than that there's not much to complain about. I don't regret buying the X7.

I would say "go for it" too. The "touch sensitive" screen is a pain (especially if you're used to using a smartphone) but since I installed Sense on it and changed it to "non Euro" sound levels its a great player in every other way. Never had a problem with FLACs myself - and as others say, its a fantastic sounding machine with decent headphones. :D

thanks. I really don't have a problem with touch screens,or a few missing buttons on the side :) the most important things for me are the battery and storage space...and the SQ ofcourse (which i haven't heard a single bad comment about the x7's SQ!). I just don't want it to be buggy, and database failurs and stuff,or that it will suddenly stop working or something.

No, the touch sensitive screen is only a pain compared to the screens you get on phones - its a lot harder to select things accurately sometimes. SQ is top notch - incredible. Battery life is shorter when playing FLAC but still VERY respectable - you wouldn't be disappointed. And of course the HD is enormous. :)

The only thing it can't seem to do is browse by album cover, which is a fairly minor thing when compared to what it CAN do.

one thing that botheres be a little. all i hear about the battery is: "respectable".."great"...etc. which seems a little strange because i should hear things like: "awsome"..."freakin' amazing".."enormous" etc.
I mean, this thing has 103 hours of audio life (cowon statement) compared to the 64 of the j3,which is a lot more. but imo,the battery is not praised enough and i don't know why. sorry for the pettiness ,but there is something odd about all of this.
finaly cowon released a player which is all audiophiles dream: 160 gb with a super massive battery life, and ofcourse SQ without compromises (like always) but the praises are not high enough...can't understand why.

I've had no bugs either. The screen is not the best but you will not regret buying it after you hear the sound quality, and then load Kizune's Leaf, Sense, and Lynx! Also to be able to put on so much music. I use this just as much as my J3! You will use this knowing that you'll not have to charge( at least for myself, used regularly) for a week or two. Maybe more!
Come on, do it!

is it porrible to make the UI on the X7 different / bigger fonts?

D3 vs X7//d3 wins because i can make the fonts bigger....

You can replace the default font with something of your choosing (copy your preferred true-type font file to player, as described in the owner's manual). I searched on the internet an found a free ttf font that is easier for me to read. But, I have to say that I didn't find any fonts that displayed as 'large' on the x7; I wear 1.5x reading glasses and I can read the updated font without my glasses--but the user specified font is affects the textual display in the X7's browser.

Now that I have installed the UCI's of Kizune (Lynx, Leaf, Sense) I am more than happy with the player. It sounds amazing, it holds all my music, and most of the annoyances are wiped away with the alternative UCI(s).

Battery: 103 h ... under what conditions? If you're not in a lab and listen to decently encoded stuff (the player deserves it), you still get a very long running life. I guess most people sound "disappointed", because under real life conditions they don't get the advertised 103 h playing time. So it's just wrong advertisement IMHO. The playing time is decent.
