A quick question from a Newbie at this stuff.... When I get home tonight and update the firmware to .33, which is now available, will I have to re-install Superuser and Z4Root? I have installed these as I want to try the Apps Hack (but haven't got around to it, yet). Cheers

@thedrayman: I have no idea, since my D3 hasn't been hacked.

Thanks for the update and link! Will flash and try to setup a 3.33 Market hack, later.

not sure, but I saw that in their build.prop. It wasn't there in their last firmware.

ro.build.class=A

If this is A, then I wonder what a B is? Cupcake?

Korean 1.33 has also this 'class A'.

btw. anyone knows how to update from 1.33 to 4.33 ???
when I try to do it there is 'signature failure' during update and I can't make a version change.
I've tried also with other x.33 versions but the result is the same. [confused]
does it means that I should wait for x.34 or or above??

Well I did the Firmware update from (Euro) 2.31 to (North American) 3.33 because of the 'issue' with the volume. I switched the D3 on this morning and WOW almost had my eardrums blown apart because of my previous volume setting. It's surprising how much louder the unit is now (so I turned it down a touch). I look forward to roebeet producing the .33 Market Hack and having another go at getting more apps.

Upgrade from 3.31 to 3.33 notes besides what is listed above:

-If you reset things back to factory defaults, the large clock on the main screen has been moved from the top left to the top right. This was not moved until after the factory reset.

-Reloading firmware or resetting to factory defaults seems to remove /system/bin/profile

-After a factory reset, I now have a new app on screen 4 - shows active and inactive apps, and RAM usage. Clicking on it brings up task manager. This did not appear until after the factory reset.

-A new app seems to constantly run called Cowon Home. Finishing it and it seems to just restart. Forcing it closed and it does not seem to have any affect on the operation of the device that I can see yet. This might simply be a phone home app which I despise.

-Non-MP3 music is still played out of order unless you play it back by folder. This was not fixed in this release.

-Interface seems much zippier.

-X

Cowon Home is the launcher. No getting rid of it. It was there before, but didn't show up in the task manager as a running app.

The new "app" is the task manager widget.

Hi everyone. I just re-purchased (long story) a D3 thanks to the many positive reviews some of you have given the latest updates. Plus, if the rumors of a major update (Froyo? Gingerbread?) are true then the D3 will be an amazing device.

So my question is for the rooted users out there. Has anyone had any success running Setcpu on D3? Will it work given the rather exotic chip the D3 is running?
TIA,
