View Full Version : J3 Games & Apps Thread
Since it isn't worth adding a Games & Apps subforum for the J3 yet, I'm creating this thread.
Please check out the S9 Games & Apps (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=95) subforum for more games and apps - most of them work on the J3 also. However, all g-sensor games for the S9 don't work on the J3.
---------------
New games posted in the S9 Games & Apps subforum will be added to this index.

thanks for the info!
Great job you've done, it's quite an impressive feat to put together so many useful apps and games.
O-o-o-o-ok. Closer to the point. I recommend for any guitarists the GuitarTricks.com apps(Tuner, metronome(BEST Flash metronome I used so far) and the Ultimate Chord Finder and etc... But I really needed the SWFs, so I did the next logical thing and went off in a search for a program that allows to grab the swfs out of the executables.
Problem starts here....
Tuner works greatly.
Chord finder - mmkay, haven't checked much, but...
Metronome - now this badboy refuses to load altogether... which is a huge pity, for I have not seen a good metronome for this player, wherever I looked...
I can't attatch the software itself, it's not letting me go over the attatch size limit, but for extracting the swf I used Exe2Sw.exe... so... please, could you help me out a bit by either making thiese files work well... If you need the files, leave your contact info and I'll send them to you asap.

Anyone know if AminNES works? its a flash NES emulator, heres the download
http://code.google.com/p/aminnes/downloads/list
Without even looking at the files I know that this won't work:
- Flash 7 (which is installed on the S9/J3) isn't capable of doing advanced things like emulating
- The S9/J3 doesn't have enough power for an emulator (I mean, I can't even create complex animations for my UCIs because they tend to lag quite quickly)

j3 can't even handle all games that are in those provided links. mine freezes in about 15% of games that are those packs.
i would not recomend j3 for games. even through videos, music, photos, radio, recorder, some kind of paint, typist, and much more are about to everything one could want from the ultimate music player. some games are pretty fun, but do not insist to put complicated graphics games into the j3 (you will fail, i;m sorry, remember that j3's screen is 272X480. kind of small for big games).

Try to avoid typing in all caps next time please? [wacko]
Anyhew, it's completely up to you. Your J3 will put all the Flash files under the "flash directory" in the browser, no matter where they are as long as it's not in /System/. If you decide to browse by folders, then your games will be organized the way you copied them under /Flash/. I like to keep mine organized in the /Flash/ folder (it helps when you're deleting stuff or whatnot), but in the end it all gets compiled into one nice list in alphabetical order. The folder browser takes way too many presses to get to for me, so I don't really bother with it even though my files are all nice and organized.
What we need is nethack on the J3. If anyone could manage that, that would be amazing. Most addictive game i've ever played.

I agree! Nethack is a truly awesome game... However, porting that to the J3's Flash platform is sadly practically impossible. I also doubt how well that would work without a keyboard (at least the version I got for my phone was totally unplayable...)

you know, it's the resolution of the original Playstation portable (PSP) screen, so there is no resolution "limitation" (just a chip not powerfull enough to calculate animations)
I was wondering if there are any text adventure games for the J3?

not... only the ones in game packs....
Would it be possible for someone to make Flood It for the J3?
