i'm just got a J3 last week
it's really a great MP4 for me!
but i have 2 questions on playing music in J3:
1) When i use the playlist (.m3u) to listen songs in "vertical" J3 , it can select songs and play in random. if i place J3 horizontally and select songs thorugh clicking on the album cover, i found it can only play songs in that album. can any one can teach me how to use playlist in "horizontal" mode?
2) i have an album with 2 CDs. i put songs under 2 sub-folder and using same cover into each folder. however, J3 shows 2 cover of that album.
how can i to show only 1 cover in an album with 2 sub-folder inside?
My English is not that good and hope you guys can understanding what i'm talking about, thanks a lot!:)

1) When i use the playlist (.m3u) to listen songs in "vertical" J3 , it can select songs and play in random. if i place J3 horizontally and select songs thorugh clicking on the album cover, i found it can only play songs in that album. can any one can teach me how to use playlist in "horizontal" mode?Playing via an M3U playlist (selecting the playlist through the [Playlists] item from the list shown in Library mode is playing a selection of tracks that you've specified in that playlist.
That playlist is the "effective set of tracks to be played", either (a) "linearly" from first to last in the order shown in the list, or (b) "randomly" from a shuffle that essentially creates a temporary new playlist in random order from all tracks in the current M3U playlist, and which will also ensure that you do not hear the same song twice as long as that particular shuffle is being used.
This all occurs when in "portrait" (i.e. "vertical") mode, so that you can get to the Library presentation and then tap on the [Playlists] item to get started.
On the other hand, if you get into landscape Matrix Browser mode (i.e. "horizontal") so that you see the 2x5 presentation of 10 album mini-covers and then tap one of them, the "effective playlist" of tracks that you've just defined for playing is within the boundary of just that one album. It is exactly as if you were in portrait Library mode, and instead of tapping on [Playlists] you rather tapped on [Albums], navigated to the same album (whose mini-cover art you just tapped on through the landscape Matrix Browser mode) and tapped it, to reveal only the songs of that one album... and then started playing just that one album.
Again, you can play the tracks of that one album "linearly" (i.e. first to last) or "randomly" (i.e. shuffle), but the boundary of this "effective playlist" is just the set of tracks for this one album.
Bottom line: landscape Matrix Browser mode, which shows 2x5 album mini-covers, is just another way of graphically browsing and selecting from your [Albums] list (which is similarly available but in pure text form simply by coming in through Library mode and tapping on the [Albums] item).
Tapping on an album cover in Matrix Browser defines the "effective playlist" for linear or random play as limited to the tracks of that one album.
In contrast, using the [Playlists] item from Library mode is using your defined M3U playlist tracks as the "effective playlist", which can then be played either in linear or random order... but for all of the tracks of that playlist, which may well span many albums.
If you start off in [Playlist] mode with the J3 vertical for playing all the tracks of an M3U playlist, and then rotate to horizontal to get Matrix Browser (with the currently identified album for the M3U playlist track currently playing appearing in row 2, tile 3, with the adjacent 9 tiles representing the alphabetically surrounding album titles), and then you tap on the currently playing or other album that you see, you're now leaving [Playlists] mode and entering [Albums] mode for the tapped album cover.
2) i have an album with 2 CDs. i put songs under 2 sub-folder and using same cover into each folder. however, J3 shows 2 cover of that album.
how can i to show only 1 cover in an album with 2 sub-folder inside? Can't be done.
You've got two COVER.JPG images that are in two distinct album folders (as seen by the J3, the fact that they are in sub-folders under a parent folder is irrelevant), and the fact that they are the identical COVER.JPG for these will unfortunately result in two identical album art covers displayed by the J3 (in Matrix Browser 2x5 mode).
If this is a problem for you, how about just putting the tracks from both CDs into one folder. You can edit the ID3 tags for the second CD to assign track numbers sequentially following the track number of the last track on the first CD.
Personally, I feel your existing two sub-folders organization approach if just fine, and I would have no problem having duplicate COVER.JPG in both sub-folders. I actually rarely (if ever) use Matrix Browser, much preferring to select music either by [Playlists] or more commonly by [Artists].
And in portrait player mode, the fact that you have identical COVER.JPG in two sub-folders for the two CDs of a double-CD album, well that means you get exactly what you want in portrait player mode... namely that one true COVER.JPG album art image, no matter whether you're playing tracks from CD1 or CD2.
I'd say forget about it.
maybe i try work on the IDtags~
