When I unplug my J3 from my pc, it automatically turns off. Then I have to turn it back on, which is a pain if I'm adding and testing stuff out. Does anyone know of a way to stop this auto-turning off?

i'm no expert, but my instinct is maybe it does this as a safety precaution?
actually, from my own limited experience, it seems to almost always be already off when plugged in, and if not, it should be (my understanding has been we're supposed to make sure it's turned off when plugging it into a computer), so what you may be experiencing is the little "charging" graphics going off and then seeing black, because it's always been off?
sorry if this help was totally useless

Jonatello: Yes, when i plugin I see the little "charging" graphic. so I guess it turns itself when I plugin, not when I unplug. But still, does someone know of a way to stop it from turning off when I plug in to the pc?

can it be turned on once you're plugged in? though, isn't that supposed to be dangerous for your device?

I don't know. I don't think I ever read that anywhere...
Not possible. It must turn itself off, because when connected to a PC, it acts like a USB stick.
And USB sticks can't show of their UCI's while connected to a computer...
To get out of the 'USB-Mode', it must be turned off, and re-boot.
I prefer this feature.
On my old Creative Zen:M, anytime you added songs, pics, etc. you would have to turn it off and turn it back on for the new stuff to be added(showing and working).
The J3 just saves me the hassle of having to initially turn it off for the stuff to be added. Although I'm not sure if all MP3 players worked like the Creative Zen in the sense that it lets you keep it on, but like I said, I prefer it the way it is on the J3.
