Bad sound quality with big headphones

I have used my J3 for some days now and I must say that i'm quite disappointed. The J3's power when using my Denon Dj Hp700 isn't nearly good enough. When I was using my D2 the sound was MUCH better with the same headphones. Now the volume is low and the power isn't enough to give a clear base.

Is there anyone else of you that feels the same? Is there anything you have done to improve the sound quality?
I have tried turning up the EQ but int just makes the music sound like shit...

When you configured your J3 for the first time, did you choose Europe as region of your player?

If so, you should read this guide (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=25233) to remove the volume limiter.
