Hi,

I have put together a bilingual Eng-Ger dictionary from the guides on this forum (thanks GTStriker). However i cannot find a keyboard layout file(keyboard.def) which includes the german special characters. I know other people have made this dictionary before but all the links are dead. Is there anone out there who has this keyboard layout? I would really, really appreciate it as I try to use this dictionary every single day and I love it, but it is severely limited without the extra characters!

Thanks,

P frog

Hi purple frog:

I don´t know about german special characters, but maybe i can help showing you how i did my keyboard.def:

The Spanish keyboard has the letter ñ, but if you enter the letter ñ in the keyboard.def don´t work, so the thing i did was write the letter ñ in the google search engine, clic Google Search, then you have to search in the bar on the top.The result was something like this:

ht tp://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=%C3%B1&btnG=Google...

You have to focus where the % are, so in the keyboard.def i wrote k23=%C3%B1 (%letternumber%letternumber) and when i use the flash dictionary appears ñ.

I did some search and i saw that an example of german character could be "ß" (maybe i am wrong), then i search in google and the result was %C3%9F (try it).

I hope what i wrote help you. :D

Thanks a lot Mario,

I just got back from a trip so sorry for not thanking you earlier. I will have a go at putting together a german keyboard.def file as soon as i am back on top of work. Then I will post the results. I was thinking that someone must have done this already, but no matter I will do it again
Thanks,

P frog
