View Full Version : S9 now accepts H264 MP4s
According many people at ABI (http://www.anythingbutipod.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=198), the S9 now plays H264 MP4s that are converted in a certain way. Has anyone here got it working?

oh yeah... im quite curious about this too. :x it should really bring out the screen potential of the S9.
i know 480 x 272 with certain settings works already, but it seems as if theres something about 2.50 that makes it better...
is it anything or is it just the meager H264 support we had ever since the S9 first came out?

I noticed that the s9 can play some mp4 and h.264 but not all h.264 videos are supported and mkv is not supported so maybe it not official but i hope that next firmware it will be completely supported

tbh i read that and i did some extensive testing and for me it always failed when i put h264 + mp3 in an mp4 contain just gave errors (also happened with h264 and aac)
so i just keep using h264 + mp3 in an avi container works and you can use multi pass encoding in h264 as long as its baseline mode level 2.0 with no cabac
what i cant work out is why cuda encoder keeps crashing on me :(
SUPER works with the attached settings =)

Glad you found out recently though, the older threads I linked above should be helpful [thumbsup]!
yeah, I think I posted it a couple times in some other threads (I think one was the firmware thread though).
@noobdeagle: You did use AAC-LC and not like AAC main right?
