Apologies for the delay in getting this up, I've ported all bug reports from other threads over to this one.

As before (http://iaudiophile.net/forums/showthread.php?t=28295) the purpose of this thread is list out various bugs you may have found in the S9's latest firmware update, so that we may then forward on this thread to the good folks at Cowon Korea.
Please make sure to follow the below guidelines before posting a "bug".

This is the format to use to report bugs: (answers are for example purposes)

Problem: Write down what the problem is (example ID3 Tag issue)

Expanded Description: Give a more detailed description of the bug you're reporting

Capacity & Model: Note the capacity of your S9, eg. 32gb - If you own the DMB model please note as such, eg. 32gb DMB

Firmware: Note the firmware you've loaded eg. 1.31b, 2.31b or 3.21b

Things to remember:
Have you tried reinstalling the firmware? (sometimes this solves abnormal behaviour)
Are you using a custom UCI? as it may be the cause of your issue.

Problem: Can't play videos after watching.

Expanded Description:Ive had this happen on multiple files, when I watch a video (.avi) to the end they are rendered unplayable, as the S9 moves the scroller to the end of the video and skips to the next video.
In a atempt to fix this, I deleted everything in my Flash UI folder & reverted to 2.30 but it still would not play. The only way I fixed this was by cutting the videos back to my computer and placing them back on my S9.

Capacity & Model: 16gb (my assumption, update if required OP)

Firmware: Unknown

Problem: Touch screen insensitivity

Expanded Description: The touch screen is less sensitive than it was last firmware. One example: when the screen is off, a quick tap won't turn the screen on. You have to actually touch it for a little bit then it'll turn on.

Capacity: 16 gb

Firmware: 1.31b

Problem: Flash game positioning + flash game with music

Expanded Description: Not all games are landscape. Some are portrait too. There should be an option on how the flash game should be positioned. Flash games absolutely do not work with music. It would be definitely nice if we could be listening to our music and just click "Flash" so we can do something other than only music.

Capacity & Model: 16 gb (DMB)

Problem: I'm not sure if this is due to the stock firmware or the wallpaper UI but when I watch pictures I can break the "zoom bar" with the following actions:

Expanded Description:

Open a fullscreen picture
Press on the zoom bar in order to see the multiple buttons (slideshow, rotate etc.)
Press on the "Extract picture" (little square with an arrow coming out of it), 4th button from the left.
A menu will popup, don't press anything on it, re-press the "Extract picture" button.
At that point, the button will keep on flashing (this is a bug I sometime get with any buttons).
Close the menu that poped up using the cross, the "Extract picture" button is still flashing (ripple effect).
Now, each time you use the "Flip" feature of the zoom bar, it will grow in size when the flashing "Extract picture" button (the ripple effect) is at its largest.

Eventually you can manage to have the "Zoom" bar take the whole screen.

This is corrected as soon as you leave the fullscreen picture.

Here is what I got:

As I sometimes managed to get buttons stuck into the ripple effect, I'm sure I could get this done elsewhere too...

It's like I regurgitate this same post over and over, hopefully Cowon just fixes it so I don't have to always post it in ever bug report thread :P !

Problem: Can't go to next/previous album in Album/Artist Sorting
Description: If you are in ALBUM or ARTIST sorting, you can't go to the next or previous albums you selected, it's a bug everyone knows about. Let say you are playing an album and get to the last song, well no matter what setting you have (ALL, LOOP, etc.), it will loop right back over again in the same album- you can't go to the next or previous album unless you MANUALLY pick it from the Library browser. This bug though, does NOT exist in FOLDER Sorting, which is what I have mine setup as.
Firmware: 1.31b
Capacity: 16GB

Problem: New Matrix Coverflow FORCES Album Sorting
Description: ALBUM sorting is so FORCED with Coverflow that despite you let's say used FOLDER Sorting before you turned off the device, if you have coverflow still on, when you turn back on the device it will be in ALBUM Sorting (no matter what you do before). Try it for yourself and you'll see what I mean. So I would like an option to sort it anyway you want so we do not run into this FORCED ALBUM sorting. Maybe look for album covers 1 to 2 folders deep and then go 1-2-3 folders deep for songs, seems easy...

As long as you do keep on posting you'll know that your post IS being read :) whether the bug gets fixed is down to Cowon [laugh]

Problem: File transfer on Linux bricks the device

Expanded Description:

connect S9 to PC running a GNU/Linux OS
transfer files
watch transfer rate drop after some seconds
wait for the transfer to finish
find no new files on the S9 or worst a error about fonts on boot and no more power on after that.

Problem: No gapless playback on FLAC 1.2.1 when compression level is more than 2.

Expanded Description: I have installed is the firmware 2.31b. And there are some problems with gapless - it works perfectly only while the screen is on. When it's turned off (automatically or by hand), there comes the well-heard pop between tracks. The file format i use is FLAC v. 1.2.1, compression level is 3-8. The pop is only heard when the album is gapless. If i rewind this problem-place for 10-15 sec before the track finishes, there won't be any pop anymore. The pop's duration can be different. And there are times when this pop doesn't come out at all.

Capacity & Model: I have TWO Cowon S9: 8GB and 32GB versions.

Firmware: 2.31b
